I Tried To Ignore It, But Once Again, CNN Of The MSM Continues To Re-Write History…

And so, I responded. Below is my e-mail in response to today’s CNN web story regarding the Plame/CIA case:

In your web article at the address listed above, “Novak: Rove confirmed Plame's identity”, the statement is made that “President Bush included the Niger allegation in his 2003 State of the Union speech…”. If you reference the transcripts of the actual 2003 State of the Union Address, available on your own website, the infamous 16 word quote is “The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa.” And of course, Africa does not equate to Niger. Niger is but one of many countries on the African continent – yet your organization continues to make this simple, but significant error. Please correct.

Also, the Whitehouse has not disassociated itself from the statement, and further, the British government stands by their assertion.

And even further, it was proven by Congressional committee that Joe Wilson actually confirmed the Iraqi agent’s attempt to procure yellowcake from Niger, contrary to Wilson’s op-ed that started this affair. Why isn’t the fact that Wilson was proven to have mislead, perhaps lied, about his junket to Niger ever included in your references to this story? It truly is a significant development that I believe would interest your readers.”

But I know this will fall on deaf ears. The MSM has an agenda to push, and if rewriting history is needed to further this agenda, so be it. I feel compassion for the souls out there who rely on MSM for their only news of the world. They may as well just subscribe to the Democratic Committee newsletter for the level of objectivity presented as news…
